Incoloy 800

Incoloy 800 is a combination of nickel and chromium alloy that has excellent tensile strength and resistance to oxidation as well as carburzation properties. This alloy is extremely functional as it maintains a stable structure, even when exposed to high temperature. The Inconel is extremely resistant to corrosion, even in acidic environment.
Incoloy 800H is the face-centered cubic lattice structure, very low carbon content and increased Ti:C rate improve the stability of the structure, anti-allergy, and anti-intergranular corrosion. Low temperature annealing around 950℃ ensure the fine grain structure.

Incoloy 800H can not be corroded in many kinds of media. Incoloy 800H have good stress corrosion resistance cracking properties in the water corrosion condition. High chromium content made it better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. Incoloy 800 H can resist nitric acid and organic acid, but it is not so fine in the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
Incoloy 800H have good corrosion resistance to both oxidation and non-oxidizing salt, but maybe a little pitting in halide, and also excellent properties in the mixture of water, smoke, steam, air and carbon dioxide.
Incoloy 800 is a widely used material of construction for equipment that must have high strength and resist carburization,oxidation and other harmful effects of high-temperature exposure. (For high temperature applications requiring optimum rupture and creep properties, Incoloy® alloys 800H and 800HT® are used). The chromium in the alloy imparts resistance to oxidation and corrosion. The high percentage of nickel maintains an austenitic structure so that the alloy is ductile. the nickel content also contributes general corrosion, resistance to scaling and stress-corrosion cracking.
Incoloy 800 is a nickel-chromium alloy with good strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization. The alloy maintains stable structure during exposure to high temperature, therefore incoloy 800® has good  corrosion resistance  to many acidic environments.

Incoloy 800 Pipe is used in a variety of applications involving exposure to high temperatures and corrosive environments. Incoloy 800 Pipe is used for heat-treating equipment such as baskets, trays and fixtures. In chemical and petrochemical processing the alloy is used for heat exchangers and other piping systems in nitric acid media especially where resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking is required.

Incoloy 800 Tubes is used in nuclear power plants, for steam-generator tubing. Incoloy 800 Tubes is often used in home appliances for sheathing of electric heating elements. In the production of paper pulp, digester liquid heaters are often made of alloy 800. In petroleum processing , the alloy is used for heat exchangers that air-cool the process stream.

Incoloy 800 Plate is available in thicknesses ranging from .020 to .156". Incoloy 800HT® strip in coil from is available in lighter gauges up 12" wide. Incoloy 800HT plate is available up 2" thick.

Incoloy 800 Round Bar is available in wrought bar up to 8" diameter and larger sizes and shapes may be forged to order.

Incoloy 800 Fasteners is used in industries for reducing the turbulence in the flow of liquids at reduced erosion. These are used widely in gas and petrochemical based industries.
